It reminds me a lot on cnc milling. you have to think about different tools (needles), toolpath, material, which material you want to do onto what to achieve what... especially when combining everything with the laser cutter
also you could embroider pcbs using conductive thread... so you basically have an end-to-end process for fabricating fllexible pcbs... i just have to try out different ways of mounting components...
