My friends do too. And Martin, a former flatmate and friend, shares the same passion. Since my first semester, weโ€™ve been playing board games regularly in Ilmenau together with a group of friends. Game nights have become a natural part of our everyday life there. When Martinโ€™s birthday was coming up, I knew I wanted to give him something personal. Of course, a great board game was a must โ€“ but since Martin and his wife love to travel, there was one problem: board game boxes are usually bulky and not very travel-friendly. Thatโ€™s when the idea came up: Why not sew the perfect bag to go with the game? The Idea โœจ A board game bag for on the go โ€“ practical, compact, and personal. I sewed a bag that fits the game perfectly and makes it easy to take along while traveling. To make it truly unique, I embroidered the outside using our Brother embroidery machine. The bag is fully lined on the inside, giving it both structure and a clean finish. Since green is Martinโ€™s favorite color, the choice was obvious: It had to be green. ๐Ÿ’š Of course, a zipper was essential. I used an endless zipper, which I really enjoy working with because of its flexibility and clean, professional look. The Result ๐ŸŽ’ A custom board game bag featuring: an embroidered outer layer fabric stabilizer used during embroidery to support the fabric six different embroidery threads a bobbin thread a fully lined interior an endless zipper A personal gift โ€“ made for board game nights on the go. Curious about the board game? ๐ŸŽฒ Flatiron Publisher: Pegasus Spiele Designers: Sheila Santos & Israel Cendrero A great game, perfectly sized for this bag โ€” although the next version will be just a little bigger, as this one is quite a snug fit.
