Have a look at the Board Game Bag for on the Go

Behind the Scenes - Board Game Bag for on the Go 🎲🧡

⚠️⚠️⚠️ For a detailed description of the project, see: Projects Gallery ⚠️⚠️⚠️

I love board games.
My friends do too.
And Martin, a former flatmate and friend, shares the same passion.

Since my first semester, we’ve been playing board games regularly in Ilmenau together with a group of friends. Game nights have become a natural part of our everyday life there.
When Martin’s birthday was coming up, I knew I wanted to give him something personal. Of course, a great board game was a must – but since Martin and his wife love to travel, there was one problem: board game boxes are usually bulky and not very travel-friendly.
That’s when the idea came up: Why not sew the perfect bag to go with the game?

The Idea ✨

A board game bag for on the go – practical, compact, and personal.

I sewed a bag that fits the game perfectly and makes it easy to take along while traveling. To make it truly unique, I embroidered the outside using our Brother embroidery machine. The bag is fully lined on the inside, giving it both structure and a clean finish.
Since green is Martin’s favorite color, the choice was obvious: It had to be green. πŸ’š

Of course, a zipper was essential. I used an endless zipper, which I really enjoy working with because of its flexibility and clean, professional look.

The Result πŸŽ’

A custom board game bag featuring:

A personal gift – made for board game nights on the go.

A great game, perfectly sized for this bag β€” although the next version will be just a little bigger, as this one is quite a snug fit.
